Analyze and Apply to Life: Jesus Was Tempted

In Matt 4: 1-11 the Spirit sent Jesus to the desert to be tempted. Jesus was asked questions by the devil

"If you are the Son of God. . .
" tell those rocks to turn into bread. "

"jump down, because it is written in the scriptures , 'He has put

At the age of 26, Chris Henry dies after an altercation with his fiance . Henry had 3 young children and had just broken his arm. Henry had his share of turmoil including arrests and trouble with the law. Chad Ocho Cinco says he was close to Henry. Many Bengals were hurt by the loss. His team loved him many helped him grow. Many did not know the other side of Henry. The Resigning of Chris brought forth a rebirth of him and his coach wants everyone to know that he had changed.

Brittany Murphy died at the age of 32 doctors say through natural causes but it is just not natural for a 32 year old's heart to just stop working with a being able to be resuscitated. There was a contributing factor some where.

That is why we should be happy every moment of our lives and do things that we love to do and also love GOD while doing it. We can't love GOD while in sin. We can only love GOD through submitting our lives to HIM. We must first confess HIM and then live a life full of submission to JESUS!!

Birthday! Retrospect: December 20, 2009(Just my thoughts)

My Seventeenth Birthday
Finished my lesson late yesterday but it was cool! Kaeli sang a song about that Kiya wrote. The kids were rowdy as they played are you smarter than a 5th grade! They didn't however know many of the answers of the Nativity story! Shocked and appalled I listened as they yelled and screamed! I took Rhema and Rico to the other room. It was like herding sheep as Kaeli and other big kids joined. They made cards for their padres. When we were done, we went back to the sanctuary and watched veggie tales . I noticed some songs from the veggie tales CD that dad gave me. It was cool finally seeing the music come to life of sorts and seeing what was going on in the songs! The Sains sang happy birthday to me and Min Janette gave me a hug and Sis Barbra . It was heart warming almost cried ! Kerrious and I never really talk any more idk why! Anyway the Sains were the last ones to leave so we checked them out. They wanted to come home with us but I could not promise that. Genie have Margorit some food and took her home. Then we went to get some Chinerse food at No. 1 Chinese. It was closed BC we got out of church early. So we went shoe shopping. Got 2 pair but still want some boots.

My Town Madness

Avatar

We got to the theater rather early. I told Racquel if I ever had a son I want him to be just like Rico.
The movie was action packed but I was uncomfortable so I couldn't get into it. For me it took a while to get going but when it did boy did it ever
Great story

After the movie, I started a new saying. 'Terrible' and 'horrible'. Kansas is going to play Cal and I said they have this one guy and they had this PG who is horrible
The
Christmas at Washington Celebration was not that good this year. George Lopez's opening was pretty funny! honey no as Mary J sings oh Holy Night. I did like Justin Beiber kind of. President Obama incorporated brother's keeper into speech as well as the birth of a Child

Retrospect December 21, 2009: Willie Warren Needs to Channel his inner Curry

Flashback
Stephen was the NCAA's Cinderella sweet heart at Davidson College. He had to do so much for their team especially after Richards departure. He led the NCAA in scoring for two straight years and literally carried his team. This year Willie Waren is in the same position as the SoCon pro. How so you ask. Willie Warren is now assuming the position that curry did for 2 and a half years and as he was last year as starting PG

Curry led his team with little help against top ranked opponents and hard to beat foes. Curry did this with a level head, never too high or low, and a common expression on his face , common only to him and few other super stars and competitors. This unchanging deminier makes him one the best to ever lace them up! How so take Willie Waren of the
Oklahoma Sooner. Warren is now in the same position as curry was this time last year. A point guard gone makes him fit for the job of starting PG. Many athletes say that they could average 28 ppg if they were on a team like Davidson . Warren is proof that just anyone can not. Frustration is starting to become a common expression for Warren as he attempts to take his team to the next level as Curry did for Davidson. Curry's shoulders were not as Warren big as Warren's but can carry a team at will with no pressure. The two of them both had to make the transition from 2 guard to PG however Stephen did the move with grace that Warren seems to lack at times. Even through his early struggles with the Warriors , Curry kept his fight and calm deminer. Curry stayed true to his nickname the great adjuster. Curry's will to win and faithful hopeful competitive spirit keeps him and his teams moving to the next level. Curry handled every situation gracefully and never was flustered . He motivated his team through his relentless spirit and never showed a sad face. The two are diametrically different in build, explosion, and speed. This should make Warren win the prolificity battle on paper and should be averaging over 28 a game. The thing that makes curry so great is that he never got flustered in precarious situations. He rose above what was needed and expected of him and proved his haters wrong. Maybe that is why he is so much better . He didn't rely on athleticism to put him over the edge as warren does at times but worked hard to improve more than just his dunks. Maybe Paul Pierce was right in his suggestion to raise the rim three inches. It's just his mindset and morality to the game. Curry can go 0 for 6 and still lead the league in scoring. He never hangs his hand on a missed 3 but keeps trying and pushing. There is a certain peace about him that is very centered. He has a (moral value) core that is very strong. That he knows that everything will work out fine in the end. Calm. Chill. Stephen is proof that a positive attitude can change so much. Even an entire season, even an entire program.
So how could a more explosive Willie Warren be flustered against Texas El Paso?

"The Thing That Makes A Great Player Great"
John Wall has the same center ease. That is the true competitive edge, focus in hard times hope in hard times through raising the level of play

Wow (and Jerryd Bayless cont'd)

"Today is a Good Day"

Another exciting day to be thankful and grateful. It is amazing that I am so blessed. God is so merciful to me I am thankful. Today Apostle said some things, as he always does, that really hit home and were thought worthy. He talked about how some times we can have a whole movie in our thoughts. That is so true. He said that God didn't give us anything that we can not control. Even our passion, want for food and other things. That was so awesome and very convicting. We should never get to the place where you can not be convicted. That is a horrible place.

Retrospect
"Family Reunion who we introducing"
Yesterday we had a family reunion of sorts at Karetha's house. Her husband is so cool just like her. I think that they are so nice. I was surprised to see alcohol. I was not happy about that. I saw all of those who I had not seen before and those who I have not seen in a while. It was wierd though how our parents are so close to their cousins but I am not all close to mine. I was just thinking, when I get older we won't be able to have a reunion because we don't know anyone.
When we got home, I jumped over a couch(6:29 P.M.) trying to get to the remote. I didn't know that I was that athletic. I was off of one foot, my right foot!
"Word from the LORD"

All is well though. It was good to know that GOD is still talking to me. Yesterday my phone was not working correctly. I realized that GOD was trying to tell me that I put my phone before HIM when I wake up that I check the time before I even thank GOD for another day. I recieved it. And today Apostle was talking about how GOD used a donkey to get a message to a prophet in numbers who was putting money before GOD. It was so ironic.

Christmas Dayayayay hey hey !
Any way Christmas was super awesome. It was full of family and laughs and I didn't miss a thing. I was happy to be at home for the Holy Days and to remember JESUS's birthday and what it meant for the world. For what it meant for me! Yes the Lord spared even me!

Blazer Nation:
"Jerryd did not poison his team continued "

The next game, Jerryd had 31 points against against the Spurs in yet another astonishing win. How do they do it? It has to be nothing but the Lord.

"One of the best Christmas present of the day!"

The best game was not the Kobe / Shaq-LeBron match up, not the Heat / Knicks match up. No! It was the last game of the night, Portland vs. Denver. Jerryd Bayless just came off of a 31 point game and a start. On Christmas night, he struggled with a shot blocker in the paint and had an emphatic dunk and 8 points and 7 assists . He is one of the most explosive players in the league and also one of the most humble. He is just so thankful to play the game. In order for him to go to the next level as a super star, his play is going to have to come more consistent and also maybe his coach will have to make him the starter. That whole team is just a band of brothers and it amazes me every game they win. Jerryd's last points of the game came as he was fouled. Brandon Roy embraced him and Bayless let out a sigh that lilted "finally" and sang relief. I was so happy for him. He really is a good kid. He deserves so much more playing time and the points will come. It is customary for young players to have up and down starts like this. The key is to feed off of the good times and learn from the bad. It is not always all about how you start, but more so how you finish.

Jerryd Bayless did not Poison his team

Racquel! Jerryd Bayless did not poison his team but Przybilla becomes yet another injured Trail Blazer last night rupturing is patella tedent and dislocating his right patella. This adds to their laundry list of injured players: Patty Mills, Batum, Greg Oden, Travis Outlaw, and Rudy Fernadaz(dunk contest contestant ). They pulled off the win against the Mavs by 4 in spite such a loss. Bayless had 9 and 2 in 26min.

They Finally Went to Jerryd

Thursday was a good day for Blazer Basketball and for Jerryd Bayless. In summer league play, Jerryd Bayless averages around 29 points every game. However, in his rookie campaign he barely saw the court. Jerryd Bayless is the spokesman for,"it's not always how you start but how you finish!" I followed JB ever since I saw him in the USA team in their annual u-19 or 18 game. I followed him to Arizona few months later and on to the Blazers. Charles Barkley said something that really helped his stock," I can't believe this kid had..." not been playing. The Blazers are a gaurd heavy team. I was surprised not to see JB leave Portland after the sparing minutes. Kenny said that what he brings to the Blazer is diametrically different from the other guards because he pushes the floor and gets them in transitoin. The blazers are one of the league's lowest in transition points. That means that they don't get very easy baskets that the Celtics or the Suns would get just by touching the floor a few times. JBayless brings them easy fast break points that are much needed in the game of basketball.

Jerryd went off with 29 points. Jerryd is one of the most explosive guys in the league and it takes injury for him to get in the game. It is hard to say that the Blazers are better with all of the injuries or maybe they are just better letting JB get 28-30 min a game. Even when he doesn't score, he gets double teams that open up the floor. The injuries of other players allow the best point guard for the team to put them in the best winning position. It is not always good to have 5 different point guards( the Knicks will tell you that). I like Patty Mills, Rudy, Andre, Blake, and the other guy but come on that is just too many point guards. Jerryd is different because he is a strong stocky guard. He can match up better with NBA guards better than the other guards and his explosion matched with his shot make him very dangerous for opponents.

11 days til Christmas

Today was cool seeing the halls no where near crowded how a school should be instead of over crowded like a mouse hang out spot. AD was pretty sweet. We talked about some weird people of the literature in AD books. I spent most of the time in Mrs. Young's class in the gym helping out Coach Carter. We vacuumed and we sorted out her office and some STD pamphlets for her wellness class. We made a pretty cool song to go along with it,
Syphilis, Gonoria, and Aids will leave you itching like a monkay!
It is supposed to keep people from premarital sex.

Third block was very interesting. I talked to Robert and Tanisha through much of the first part. The other girls decided after they brought Radio in to play the infamous game "Never have I Ever". I was the only girl that wasn't playing. Robert, nosy about their lives and itching for an embarrassing secret, listened in on their game. There were some wide questions that I did not really need to hear and answers that I did not want to her either. As I sat there I thought, " Why do guys go for girls that are wrapped up into promiscuity when they should go for girls that are wrapped in Christ?" "Why do people in general go for those that are wrapped in promiscuity when they should go for the one who is wrapped in Christ. Vaguely, I knew the answer to this staggering hurtful question. Tyler had told me that he was surprised that I didn't give in to the peer pressure even though he knows the type of person I am, a Christian. What a privilege to be called a Christian. I sat their until lunch and then talked to Tyler until the class was done.

In English 3 honors we presented our islands. Travis, of course, was no esta aqui. He was going to suffer for that because we have a placement test for AD this week and he doesn't know the material. Tyler and Amanda got a little closer. He should be really careful. He keeps saying how much he loves Megan but I try to tell him just because you say you love some one a million times it doesn't mean that you actually do that much, that really and truthfully tell how much you love some one and that you are going to be together forever after only 5 months and at the age that we are at, and to be careful without actually saying it. Time will reveal. Love is not just in speaking but also in actions.

You don't need to rush a thing and be content in the timing that GOD has for your life. Everything will happen in its season. God has purposed everything for a specific season. Your time will come. Those that wait upon the Lord, He said your strength will be renewed.

It's good to wait. Waiting for maturing brings maturity. Rushing everything only shows how immature you really are. Wisdom says wait but foolishness says go with the flow even when the flow is flowing in the wrong direction, hell. Go against the grain sometimes. Do something that hurts your flesh. Love a little harder, forgive.

What a Saturday

Last night I had the most frightening dream ever. I can not utter the words. This week, I didn't get much sleep because of the basketball all around, so last night's sleep was much needed for Felicia Inc. I was supposed to go to the gym but that didn't happen. I must go tomorrow! I really hope soccer starts next week. I need to get back in the swing of things.

Jerryd Bayless Blogg

One thing that was awe sticking to me today was Jerryd Bayless's blog. His blog is very well written. I know some will probably disagree but it is better than GA's blog. The stories actually have meaning and they make you think. I can top him though. He uses his life's experiences and turns them as learning experiences for his life. That's what my blog does too.

It has been a little more than a year, but I finally finished Love endures Part 2

Love your neighbor as yourself is the greatest commandment because. When we love others we do not hurt then premeditatedly. We give love even when they don't give love back. Love is patient. It waits for the right time. It loves even in the loveless times. In Romans 13:, Paul tells us the greatest commandment , "Love your neighbor as yourself.” When loving is hard will you be able to love. Even when wronged, we should still remember those words, “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” In this commandment is all of the other commandments. If you wronged some one, you would want that person to forgive you and move on and for get it. However, so many time people say “I can never forgive him/her. True love is unconditional. When we understand Christ’s love, we can truly understand how to love others. In this situation, we must remember Christ and how He loved us even when we were at enmity with Him. Luke 6:28 tell us to pray for those who do us wrong (Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.) If that isn’t love, tell me what is. Real love is relentless as Christ was relentless in saving the world! Love is forgiveness. True forgiveness is not keeping what that person did in the back of your mind. It is letting it go. It loves even those who don’t get it. It loves when it hurts sometimes. It loves in spite of. It loves even it is being wronged or accused wrongfully. When we love others, people can see Christ’s love shine through us. It is HIS love that makes us want to be better people. If those who wrong you see your love they will strive for the same. Let God handle those who have wronged you. He’ll love them until the hell comes out of them.

This particular one has a life experience of my own. Yesterday, I had to learn that it is not about what people think but only what GOD knows. GOD will never accuse me wrongfully and he know the Truth. I had to forgive some on about a month ago even though it was super hard. I even though I said I forgave him I didn't really 100% forgive him at that moment. Eventually, I had to realize that all of us make mistakes and that is one that he made. I can't let people walk over me like I am a rug in the middle of a crowded hall way, however, I must forgive because that is what Christ did for me. I must forgive. To be Christ like we must forgive. When we forgive, we allow people to see the Christ shining through us . By forgiving we love those who use us wrongfully. We must pray for those who despitefully use us. It is hard though at some times but Christ loved us even when it was hard. HE died and rose for us. When we love, we let GOD handle our situation. We should pray for them because they need a Savior just like we did and now have. That is real love, love personified.

North Side vs Liberty Game of the Year?

Yesterday, the supposed most bitter rivalry and best game of the included to Jackson. These players are separated by mere fence and driveways and they play this one match up every year. The girls started it off with a half time score of 22-25 in favor of Liberty Tech. The girls seemed a little exhausted and way too quiet as the game seemed to go all too slowly at time. I sat there just feet away from where I was lasted year. I was shaking. It was hard to tell why- the weather or the nervousness. I told myself and my sister that it would be weird seeing Coach P coaching from this distance. I knew I made the right decision though. It was hard explaining to people especially those that do not care. It was more than just the too long late night over extended practices and the in continuity among the older players of the bunch. It was a combination of thing that made my emotions sublime. It was my unwillingness to deal with his unwillingness just one more year. It was more than just that too. Failure and even so much more than that. Why it was a multitude of thoughts that were astoundingly confirmed by one single notion. College. How will I pay for it. So as I sat there, I could see every bit of selfishness, in continuity, and mishaps now from a far. I lost a little bit of my still think hunger to play. Coach Hook looked a little out of place beside those girls. Basketball really is not his thing but he is a coach a great coach. He personifies the simple definitions of a coach but with that he gets the job done. He cares for his players. I could see that as he talked to Jaz at lunch today. Everything he had Coach P lacked . I got there at the second half. Th first quarter swung to North Side as those same old mistakes were played by the team as so many nights before. The game slipped away like a rope in their hands and it seemed almost willingly to some players.

The boys were the surprise of the evening. Florida bound Casey Prather started with no surprise and as always it was TJ that guarded him. He was determined from the first three he hit to every play he had defensively. He was ready . It was disappointing all the same though.

To be continued

Honey Baked Ham/ Turkey

The game was super awesome and I like selling tickets it was pretty fun. Their were some weird moments however like the time one of my teammate's padres was just starring at me . Natalie mouthed the question that will forever live in infamy, "do you know him?" I had to laugh ! It was weird though because he was just standing behind me and we tried to move and he would follow us
It was weird though because he was just standing behind me and we tried to move and he would follow us and just star at me . Then Natalie mouthed the words that will live forever in infamy! Do you know him! Yeah I said and we laughed and we kept laughing . He finally answered one of my questions and walked away after more weird behavior! He finally answered one of my questions and walked away after more weird behavior! Then this guy came over. And looked me up and down then I looked him up and down in slight disgust . Then he looked at Natalie then he pulled Natalie to him! After he left she was like that fit is so weird and I was like I thought ya'll went together, she was like no he tries to talk to everyone! I could attest to that Because he tried to talk to the entire basketball team and he followed stalked me and my sisters at the YMCA one day! She said that she was afraid that her face would break out because he rubbed his face on her face! We both said that weird things were happening to the both of us! I said that at least hers was with a guy her age. I then said that when I had kids they would not go to a football game unless they were on the team!

The game was pretty cool! We came from a come behind win ! It was tied through out but we broke away in the third quarter! I saw some players I knew by their different style of walks and who can't tell which one Spencer is ! It was amazing seeing them hug and embrace each other! They win because they really are a team! It is so hard to find teams like this. Through coaches who seem to be more against the players than the other team, teammates who don't play hard for each other and don't see eye to eye, to distractions, to boyfriend/girlfriend drama, to players with huge egos, some teams just don't have the same love. This team seems to have this and then some. This is why they are so good. They work hard for each other and not just as individuals. There are so many of them yet they still are a team ! They are and should be an inspiration to all athletics and teams at liberty ! They work together and accomplish a goal! They are awesome!

Puttin On the Pink: Minor Inconvenience

"Puttin on the Pink" week this year at Liberty Tech was sponsored by Mrs. Cassandra Williams. The school was painted pink to bring awareness of breast cancer. Each class was asked to decorate their run in honor of the cause. Mrs. Amber Guthrie's first block Academic Decathlon class took the cake and will be rewarded. The Puttin on the Pink efforts took new meaning for the Liberty Tech Academic Decathlon team. It was not just about decorating a classroom with pink. It became a symbol of hope, wisdom, and knowledge as Mrs. Arnold told of her experience with breast cancer. She informed for the class about the long process of chemotherapy and treatments that she endured. On her arrival in Mrs. Guthrie's class, she was overwhelmed with applause and a gift of an angel made by a breast cancer survivor. Her story was both informative and inspiring. She gave information about the process and signs that people need to watch for like giving hereditary information to doctors. Mrs. Arnold told the students that breast cancer was one of the most treatable cancers if it is detected on time. She called her 6 month experience a "Minor Inconvenience". She said although it was scary she was still able to watch her children grow and the births of her grandchildren as opposed to not having the ability to do so. She also informed the gentlemen that it is possible for men to contract breast cancer as well. In her closing remarks, she told the class to start now by make preventative measure through having a healthy life style. She encouraged them to work out and eat right. Mrs. Arnold also said that people are getting cancer at younger and younger ages and that action should start now with self exam and mammograms. In fact, a story in a very popular talk show noted that a 10-year-old girl was diagnosed with breast cancer. Also, Mrs. Guthrie added that we should stay on our mothers, aunts, and grandmothers about monthly mammograms. Mrs. Arnold's cheerful and grateful spirit brought life to putting on the pink.

Extra Note
As the judges walked into the room of Mrs. Amber Guthrie with a pink tint seen all over, Mrs. Williams was gifted with an angel made by a breast cancer survivor. Mrs. William's efforts for the week were greatly appreciated and well needed.

Leadership University
Seeing through New Eyes

"I found Jesus"

I thought about Jesus and the Robin Thicke song where he says "I found Jesus" and was inspired to write. I liked that part of "Lonely World" but I thought no one has an I found Jesus song. When I was writing, I thought of some melodies. I didn't want it to sound like Robin Thicke's but I wanted to keep a smoothe texture to it. When I was writing, I realized, He found me so after the bridge, the chorus says "You found me" Jesus found me. Oh and I was just going on. The beginning of the song or the first verse is about when I first got saved. I didn't know everything ( I found out later in life) or even fully why I should get saved. Mostly to escape condemnation, but the second verse talks about my relationship with Christ in a difficult time in my life. "With tears in my eyes"( I got the notes for the down easily) stands for when the different times I would cry when I first got saved and when I went through the hard time " With tears in my eyes" . This song really speaks about " In solitude I found You" which is when I didn't have friend I had JESUS and still do. Even though I didn't deserve it I had HIM. "With tears in my eyes" and "why" is really two things in this piece. Many people some times ask GOD why and some. I did and I realize pain pushes you to your destiny so no more why's !

"You found me

And you’ll never let me go

You’ll never turn your back on me

You hold me

N e v e r let go of me

I thought I found you LORD

But

You found me"

This is really off the top of the dome. It does rhyme but it need to be in this piece so it where I will riff and run and show my feelings towards the goodness of Jesus. Its really who JESUS is to me always there. He awesome !

Cutting off the Parasite

Its hard to let go and give up some things you love but are just no good for you like a person or something you love to do. It "appeals to your better nature". Even though it is killing us slowly we, we hold on to it secretly or even sometimes openly expecting a change it the situation. However, some times we must pull the plug on a thing in order for us to be able to live or kill the thing that is killing us. Some times you must cut yourself from people or things that hurt you. It's so subtle. It goes undetected as abuse, but eventually, you'll feel the full bite of the parasite. Just let it go. If it's killing you, cut it off. We want to be friends with everyone and we never ever want to give up on anything, but if it is killing you, let it go. LET IT GO. But it's so hard to let it go. To memories, to ambitions, to people. . . even though they kill us. Why is that? Why is it so complicated. I had to do something like this this week and last week. When you do it, it's not really that hard especially when the parasite almost sucks you completely dry. Sometimes it's just what we need to let the parasite go. What else do I need to cut off? I need to ask that everyday. Every day I wake. Who's first, what's next?

"Gave it up" by J Moss is inspirational. I love the message. The Word of GOD cuts and quickens at the same time. It's like no other. http://www.imeem.com/artists/j_moss/music/VRfI5lRX/j-moss-i-gave-it-up/ it goes great with "Cutting off the Parasite". Give it up!+

I listened to it three times one for the Father, for the son, and the Holy Spirit.

"I Found Jesus"

“I found Jesus”

All alone as I walked down the isle

Up in the sky

All of heaven was smiling

And tears my eyes

Asking, “What’s the reason why?”

But I found Jesus

There He was . . . oh yes

I found Jesus

Through the clouds and with in

I found Jesus

Scares and pain

All my life

was rainin

No friend was there

They all left it seemed

Not knowing

All I needed was comforting

And a friend call my own

In shames and fears

I couldn’t break

In strifes and confusions

It seemed I couldn’t shake

With tears in my eyes

Asking God why why why?

Through it all

I found JESUS

Through the maze of my mind

I found Jesus

There He was again

I found Jesus

He became my favorite friend

In my weakness

He makes me strong

I found Jesus

Through pain thought unspeakable

I found Jesus

Bridge

In solitude

I found you

In destruction

You were there

Even Though I was undeserving

It’s clear to me now

You found me

You found me

Through clouds and rain

Heartache and pain

You found me

Oh yes You did

You Found me

Through storms and my shame

Through my fear and my blame

You found me

You found me

You found me

Oh yeah

You found me

And you’ll never let me go

You’ll never turn your back on me

You hold me

N e v e r let go of me

I thought I found you LORD

But

You found me

How Many Sterrotypes can be proven in one day?

Today was a day full of ups and downs. In AD all we did was read to the awesome background music of of silencio. It was awesome. Thoughts of the past taunted me as I walked to class. No one cares. Why should I have to compromise for idiots for want of a better term.

Second period The Climax

Its so ironic how drama unfolds Theatre. The exposition, rising action, climax, and the Denouement. Mostly the climax and rising action happens however. We were working on plots for our plays that we are working on. You know Configuring the Inciting Incident, Rising Action, Climax, Denouement. Well the story is kind of vulnerable for me. Jerks will be jerks. Thats all I can say for now. Any way, I thought about this one day when I was flipping channellings and the Tyra show was on and she said teens have not developed the part of their brains that helps them make long term decisions or choices that would effect them later on in life.

This leads me to my next point
How Many Sterrotypes can be proven in one day

Stereotypes are by no means good

Game Day

Today I forgot to reset my alarm so again I woke up a little late. Yesterday, we went to the college for a whopping 60 minutes. We watched another video in AD yesterday but today we made our own quizzes. I worked with Cole today which never happens. We're like cats and dogs and he likes Germany which scares me. The quiz thing was pretty cool. I wish all of my teachers let us do that instead of other stuff. Mrs. Young's class is still rambuctious not because of Mrs. Young of course.

In third block I wrote "love" on my left had. It was a little less than what I did Tuesday. Tuesday there was a huge blue heart on my arm and marker marks from when Jeremy (Lewis) wrote on my hand. It bled on everything from my jersey to my sock. Everyone on the team said that I look like I had disease from all of that blue. (Trinity oh yeah. We tied them.) I think I write "love" on my arm for two or three reasons: for Christ's unfailing love, boredom, and I am in love lol. Well not really. maybe just a crush.

Today in Mrs. Teague's class we did yet another persuasive essay. This time it was about "is Hester the least immoral person in the Scarlet Letter?" The class was pandemonium as usual. I think I've been around the kids at school. I will not let them rub off on me!

Gun Shots?
Three gun shots fired today before the game while we were stretching. The game was at Hollywood vs. South Side, a run down neglected field in the part of Jackson where black people and poor whites live. I hate it. People think that its communism if we help out those less fortunate than we are. What is this? Any way back to the game. I felt a little weird. I hated how streaky I was in games. I need consistency.

Chicago, IOC, and gang violence: What’s the relation?

I did a report on the Olympics 2016. 4 cities , Chicago, Rio de Janeiro, Madrid, and Tokyo , are currently competing for the hosting spot. A lot of controversy has settled into the Chicago campaign as this happened...

Fox news rambled over President Obama's support of the Olympics and how they think he is wrong for supporting the Olympics in Chicago(in spite the fact that it will create jobs and boost the economy if Chicago is elected), but the real problem is the Gang violence and how it effects not just the gang member but also the person's best friend, mom, dad, brother, and sister, and overall the community as a whole. This young 16 year old boy was not a gang member but simple helping a friend caught in a gang fight. Let's watch!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhbbGF4Y9yI

Responding to FOX News video

Barak Obama is not the cause of the fight but gang violence is. On going wars over words, territory, bragging rights, and reputation spark murders of teens well in their prime who I do not agree with last portion of what this man said but most of it I do. What is the cause of gang violence? The lack of a father or mother, economic oppression and depression? President Obama can only inspire change. No human being can change the heart of a person so the criticism of the president in this video is an illegitimate argument to the cause of the violence exhibited. Even as I write this today, I can only inspire change or place the thought into some one’s mind to think twice about gangs, drugs, and other crimes. I can not make a person change and no one else can but GOD. We as human have the right to choose to listen to the voice of GOD or not. President Obama’s intention to support the Olympics will not cause more violence.

Why is it that every time something horrible happens, President Obama is blamed? Was this the first action like this? Will it be the last?

So in conclusion, I say to Fox News, President Obama is only one man that can inspire change and he is not the cause for every bad thing in America and it pains me to see that they strive to find ways to criticize him for something that was totally unexpected and that could have happened in Brazil and Spain in. In fact, an incident like this happened in Honduras not to long ago. If this incident that occurred in Chicago happened in Spain, the President will not be blamed. Yes America, let us not worship political leaders. The actions of a small sect of violent people will take the cake not the leaders like Obama who inspire peace. Let us keep GOD first. However, at the same time we must be the America founded upon Christ and pray for the our leaders that they are in sited from GOD and not bash them for things that they have little control over, the hearts of man.

I cried when I saw the video and was angered that a person would stand there and film a fight like that. Everyone in the video except maybe one or two were cheering and facilitating in the fight. I mean it happens all of the time in my generation. People set a date and time to fight and the spectators stand around phones and cameras erect laughing, pointing, ooing, and awing. At school the next day, every has access to the fight that humiliated some one.

It is so sad that people think that violence is acceptable. The teens in this scene thought nothing of death, just entertainment. Seriously, if you want entertainment then watch SportsCenter or the MMA. This is recreation to some to search for fights or even be in them. How can we change the minds of teens? Its starts at the home and can also be drilled in under athletics.

These actions are praise in media that teens and children have access to and adored by the consumers who love it. Why is this behavior praised? Why not run from a fight and call for help instead of watch a gruesome and pointless war between members of the same country. The outside world sees us as brutal in another light. The IOC will take this into account on Friday as they negotiate who should win the hosting. If you asked me, Chicago should be the winner. After all, Americans support the Olympics more than any other nation and the Olympics will raise the economy and possibly public moral.

If you are thinking about joining a gang, think twice. Your actions do not just affect you, but every one you love and care for. You put those who love you in danger every day by joining a gang. The 16-year-old boy was an honors student probably on his way to college and out of the south side of Chicago. He was put in danger after trying to help his friend. Would you let your friend die? By joining gangs, you say an alarming “YES” every day.

He did it Suddenly

I was super late today at church. I guess my dad. . .

Liberty Soccer Shootout 2009

Friday September 11, 2009

There wasn't much talk about 9-11 today except in my 3rd block class. In first block we took a practice Reading ACT test. I have to improve in that area. Theatre was pretty laid back. I prepared to leave school and help coach Carter at Katecampell. Tanner was sick so I moved away from him so I would not catch anything. Ryan moved up there to escape loneliness I guess. I those guys a re really funny. At first they were cool- talking about basketball and coaches, but then things turned for the worst. I was shocked at how little repect and morals they have. I tried to in part some wisdom until I just couldn't take it. I moved to the 4th row. I came back because I thought they stopped but then I came back to a grieving immorality. I left and this time for good until the end of class.

In 3rd block we talked about Plessy v. Ferguson and other things in which we had a round table dicsussion of sorts. We talked about 9-11 also. We were asked to write about where we were and what we were doing on the day of the attacks. We were also to say how it affected us in any way.
Coach P found my Boston butt tickets in the parking lot.
I left school at 1:45 or so with Parker. We went to Madison to get her shin guards. I looked at JCM - and then Madison. I was appalled. I thought about the corrupt things that go on in the school board and how little they care about JCM. I thought about how STUPID it is of them to take our(Liberty's ) health science classes out and put them in JCM. In a culture that is in dyer need of this field of education, why are we taking it out of a school in which would actually prepare students for the field. Let's face it. NO ONE WANTS TO GO TO JCM. Why not have a partner ship with both school since they are so close and most students that go to LIBERTY want the Health Science Classes. This will not help the culture of JCM it will only deprive Liberty of yet another field that has been lost in the last two years. Another Change as was personified in my blog "My Take: Changes". The U.S is searching for native doctors and other medical and science fields. Taking the classes out of Liberty will by no means help the state of our culture's lack in medical needs. I am not in these classes, but my heart goes out to those who will not have a chance to get a head start on the medical field. I think I'll email and mail the school.

"Corrupt" by Felicia Ingram coming soon stay tuned

Our first game was against Dickson County, Coach Carter's Alma Mater. It seemed as if we were missing everything. Coach Carter was mad. We played horribly and afraid. We lost badly. I was ready to play before the game. I don't know what happened.
I went to Light After Dark after the game. Micheal Jordan was inducted into the Hall of Fame along with John Stockan(NBA all time leader in assists), David Robinson( who oozes class), and Vivian Stringer. It was motivating to see all of there testimonies and hear of their upbringings.

Saturday September

Dyersburg was first at 9:00. At first we were playing with them. They had some good center mids outside mids and there forwards were decent. I was scrabling around trying to guard at least 3 people in the middle. It was a tough game. I hated that we were loosing to such a team. Their stopper was strong and saying some crazy stuff like,"That dirty. . . I like it!" Everyone was annoyed by that.

In between games, I saw Madison and Bartlett. Brent came to the game. I told him that he was going to be a crazy old man when he gets older. Everyone was really nice at the game. All of the Madison parents and fans.

I really did not want to play North Side. They were better than the game before. They moved
North Side. It took us ages to score. I was mad. How could we (liberty) be tied with North Side passed half time. We scored finally off of a cross from AB. Coach JC moved Ana Beth up to forward and Laura to Center Mid. It seemed to work on paper, but something wasn't right. Any way we finally won minutes maybe even seconds before the game's end.

Game Day!

So Sleepy! I hit the snooze on my cell phone too many times. JCM was coming up today. I never loved to push. I still haven't found my Boston Butt Cards. I walk right passed Coach P and he said nothing. I walked on to Mrs. Guthries's. Max and Cole were extra silly in AD today. We turned in our hooks even though some people neglected them completely. We also talked about community service ( in which I no time). The community service projects are Kawanis, Jaskcon Helth Dept, and something about books. I though about my leadership Community service projects and the my practices. I have to make time (for basketball). Sometimes it seems that I am involved in too much but I can't get away from it. "That's what I do"! We must at least one CS project a month.

Whooo! IDK

Mrs. Young's class wass well Ms. Young's class. We worked on our models. Jeremy and Ryan did the craziest thing that I can not err.

Mrs Merry
We began reading an article on President Obama's address. In this article, apparently HPSC, a school system, thinks that President Obama was going to say something bad to the students later on so they banded teachers from showing it when it came on. That's crazy!
We read an excert or two and we talked about it. I said" This is great but some peopke might say he's not my mom or dad but he has good intentions and we should all take it to heart." Mariah however opposed that slightly by saying there are some who are out in position where they are not able to fnish school. In the excert were words and phrases like "drop out", "quit school... quit on your country", and "no excuse not to finish school" . President Obama was true on all his points.
I also said," he is definently pushing education... education is the foundation to our country and in the Bible it says my people perish because of lack of knowledge..." if we don't know how to do certain things, our country will perish.

We talked more about that and we did the PEOC

Lunch... ;)

IN fourth block Mrs. Teague's bell ringer was Health Care should provide free of charge to all... Yes or NO

I agreed, with...

"United States Health Care should absolutely be free of charge for all Americans. Free health care will eliminate major problems in today's Health Care. The First thing that will be eliminated is the millions of American without health care. It will also eliminate the health care system as a market and establish it as a service. Some say health care for all will be the demise of the country based on other countries. We must learn as Americans innovative and affective ways to keep and provide every citizen, doctors, doctors' visits, pap smears, pre-natal care, surgical operations, or any other health care need. We are intelligent enough to achieve these feats."

Dr. Murray anounced that we would wathch President Obama's address to Students. They gave us a worksheet/handout. We had to write about the speech

The worksheet was like this:

ICommon Persuasive

Instructinons
Read the following persausive techniques exlantion

Bandwagon, testimonial, emotonal appeal, plain folks.
II examples found in the speech of each.

President Obama's speech was at the right time and was well needed. It was on education. Education is the Key. I learned in the speech that failure teaches you. The greatest people have the most failure. He used examples like Michael Jordon and JK Rolland. Some people don't recieve words like this every day like. So hearing some one telling them that they can be something is a lot of help. He empowered us with you are the next to repair the problems of your parents. He gave specific reason why we should get educated and involved in EC activities.
Preparation
Science could prepare people for medical fields and othe studies will help solving problems in the government or other firls.
We had to write about a part of the speech that moved us...
"I was moved when President Obama talked about failure. Failure is a struggle for all human beings. It is essentioal to the growth and advancemen of humans. President Obama said the most successfule people have a great deal of failure. He then went through examples of people who went through failure and rejection. This is encaouragin to students who have seemed to be missing points."

Game time

JCM vs Liberty Part Two.

I prayed befor the game. Isaew COach Jones there for about 5 minutes on the side line showing moral support. Mrs. Neely showed too. The News guys was there and our ref forgot we were having a game so we had to get a European guy from Union.

The whole game I was afraid of getting hurt. I was a bit tentative. There was way toooo much pushing. The JCM girls were pushing Laura and M. Parker. While they pushed Laura they laughed about it and the ref saud nothing. I said "Dude they'fre pushing and lauging." He sounded Irish.

I saw a lot of Liberty football players and a JCM basketball player. It seems as if JCM bands together even in loosing efforts.

They seemed less"ghetto" and a little more organized than last year. Either way... nevermind. We scored four in the first and 3 in the second. I scored in the first by the 18. SO EASY!!

HOME
Salad, Silent Library, So Much HW

I ate before I started my HW. It was a bbq chcken salad with lemon pepper.
I then turned on Silent Library after joking with Dad. I love that show or do I just love Zero Kazama the host? Either way, I can't get enough.

Rafael Nadal is the best tennis player ever! I love watching him play! A Mi Me Gusta Ver el Juega!

When I turned to ESPN2, he was loosing 6 to 3 in the 1st. He worked his way to 6-6 only to loose 6-7. He carried the momentum to the next set. Monfils is a good player form Australia but Rafa is way more athletic. I though about how the ball curves in to an orbital shape when Rafa bends a return. The athletiscim... and to do it all on a hurt stomach is un heard of. Rafa could have easily given up this match ehtn he was doen 6- 3. Nadal, never rattle, quickly gained 2 sets up on the emerging Monfil. Monfil was talking to himself( guess in Australian) when Rafa gained pn him in the first set. His excitment pushed jim through the first. he just might be runnign out of gas as the IBM Poll suggested. This solidifies Rafa as the fittest tennis player. To come back from an injury. I love Rafa's new hair cut/ After the match, a man comes up and kisses him on the cheeck. What kind of security? Did they forget that someone was stabbed by a stray fan years before? Any way Rafa tried to hug the guy because he's a nice guy and doesn't want to look bad.

09-09-09

Yesterday we talked Obama in fourth block( insert here)

Today he was to discuss Health Care.

Church was not normal for me. I had a lot of AD HW an I was by myself. I was appalled when Jerrious told me how his team has 4th block athletics( aside from the fact that it is a system wide rule that no school can have fourth block athletics). He was shocked to find out that I was in AD and that I fell asleep in class today( I had good reason). Dad taught but I couldn't hear it because they closed the doors of the sanctuary. After church I got to greet Apostle and Remah (lol). I didn't know people liked me like that. I felt accepted like when we were forced to hug everyone in the church.

I got a chance to listen of President Obama's Speech on Health Care. It was great and thought provoking. It seems that America is always late to the party. First it was women's rights and now it is health care. we are the only democratic country without a country wide health care.

September 10, 2009
Today, I got more rest and overslept.

Parker had a knife in her car.. just kidding a machete from when she went to Nicaragua. She accumulates junk like crazy.
AD was more chill today. I could tell Mrs. Guthrie had been stressed . She relaxed more today. Its a wonder what can happen if people would just relax( Not directed toward Mrs. Guthrie.)
Theatre was relaxed. We are making a model of the stage. Ryan and Jeremy were just that- Ryan and Jeremy.

Mrs. Merry.
Class was great. I'm,m getting engaged more with and interacting with my classmates.

Parker sent me a quote"A woman should be so hidden in Christ that a man must seek Him in order to find her.-I really liked the quote so I thought I would share."

It was really right on time. I helped me to make a decision.

"Nadal vs Gonzalez Different Kind of Beautiful"

Rafael Nadal v.s Gonzalez. Gonzalez is giving Rafa a tough match.. Wow! as he ties 6-6 in the first. The strong New York City breeze hit Rafa's hair and moved it backward. He dominates the tiebreak of the first set, 4-love. He looked so calm in a such a pressured situation. Even more than Gonzalez who had control of most of the first set. I guess that's what makes Rafa Rafa. Rafael gets stirred a little as Gonzalez reaches a back 3-4. Rafa's eyes stay low while he plays. Rough. No, Sharp. His eyes weren't soft like Gonzalez's were . His face has perfect geometric shapes. His thick eye brows stay close and closed. Never once does he crack a smile while playing. Always wearing a game face tight with dark brown eyes and thick brows.

Wow as he wins the set 6-7.
Banana. Rafa eats a banana as the U.S Open plays Beyonce"Single Ladies" for some reason. Of all the artists and songs in the world . . .Beyonce . . . "Single Ladies". The trainer works his lower back or stomach. His face starred blankly in the air and previously barely holding his stomach when he hurt it. His eyes hidden under eye brows like the clouds hid the sky and sun on that day.

Chris Evert talks about how hard playing with stomach injuries is. Rafa is a fighter. Persevereor . Everything about him is athletic from his physic to the ball that left his racket. His Physic spoke of athleticism and his face showed concentration and focus. Even when he missed a play it still amazed me. Just as he is rattled, he calms. Something I need. He raises his eyes just to see the score board and sky. Its raining. Another rain delay. I thought the best times to watch Rafa was at night almost midnight on a school night. I was happy when the rain delay came at 7:29. The rain delay continues so Rafa didn't get to finish him off.

Boston Butts For Sale

Today I got up and I had to go to Coach P for the fundraiser. He told me to see him after class. I realized that there would be no pep rally because we had a fight by the portables and an incident in 2nd block (pray for Jessica). Today was game day. We were going to Adamsville. Yesterday in 4th(English III Honors) the Bellringer was do you think women have equal rights in society. At 1st i was for it but as i thought about the number of ceo's and recognition. I thought about how women in sports think that they have to pose nude. I thought about how nba is worshipped while the wnba barely get .

New Teach, Teague

Today was all a mini whirl wind. This weekend, I lost my Academic Decathlon material. ( That before I lost my daily planner, my U.S. History honors book and my AD spiral notebook. a week before ) . Tonight, I lost one of my home work assignments in English III Honors. I have never been so careless about things in my life. But its all lessons learned. I really need to just slow down, relax, and pause. Its like that Lisa Mcclendon song for me. "Pause".

Pause by Lisa McClendon.mp3 - Lisa McClendon

If I could just pause. Take a deep breath.

My Ad class was pretty cool. I liked the way Mrs. Guthrie is giving us the information. Second Block, Theatre two was the same, rowdy and rambunctious. Third block is where I found my planner that I have been looking for weeks. Coach Hook was exited today. Maybe its because they have an easy week of Homecoming against JCM. What ever it is he's turning back to his old self-excited and about everything. In the hall way after lunch, a song came on my heart. "Praise Him in Advance". God's about to do something big is all I know.Fourth Block was full of laughs and bedlam. I was amazed that my honors class is so rambunctious (TJ word). While I was sitting down in class, a peace came over me. I was just thinking about how amazing GOD is and how HE forgives us when HE doesn't have to. I was assuredat that moment. We met our new teacher, Mrs. Teague. Mrs. Teague replaced Dr.Mac( see my blog freedom for Liberty "My Take: Changes) . She worked as a paralegal for Corey B. Trotz I believe. (Not sure though.) She changed careers because she felt that she wanted to help young people find theircareers and future. In which I think is awesome and is a gift to teach teens. She was relaxed but not too relaxed, stern but not too stern. During class, she made us fill out things about us called "It’s all about you". She told us to present to the class. She asked the following question:

Name

DOB

EC Activates:

Academic Decathlon

Basketball

What will you do when you graduate from Liberty

Attend Belmont, major in Journalism and Political science then Law school…

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I see myself in a successful profession as a sports agent, journalist, lawyer, politician, and still going through school.

It was fun sharing and hearing every one's different reactions to the questions.I was amazed that so many people want to be lawyers.I didn't think that many would. There were only two aspiring teachers in bunch which was some what surprising but not entirely. Soccer practice came too fast. I was not in the mood to play soccer but once I strapped on those cleats, it I had to play. We started out with a lap and a half. No one ever runs with me. I always leave a huge gap in between every one. I wish some one would run with me so I can be challenged. I couldn't help but think about basketball and how I need to go to the gym. It’s hard though because of the strenuous homework and soccer practice. But still I'm learning to relax. I haven't gotten there yet but I am working to get there. To where relejarse is my address and tranquilo is my residence. But then I remember I am not alone and I must find peace in JESUS, The Prince of Peace.
